Old gold and blue silk
I made custom bowties and a cummerbund for the groomsmen. Irene had her Mother of the bride dress and coat made by me. Then she commissioned accessories made in matching fabrics for her husband and various members of the bridal party
I made the bow-ties in different fabrics for each member of the bridal party. Ireneās husband had blue/gold silk to match her coat. Next there were two each in old-gold for the best men, two in the bridesmaidsā green silk for the ushers. Lastly I made the grooms custom bowtie in pale gold organza to match his bride.
Each bow-tie fastened with a hook on re-sizeable neck-band. I lined the custom cummerbund in silk and created a fastening at the back with a secure clip.
Having custom bowties and cummerbunds made to order for the bridal party is a lovely way to make everyone feel special. Choosing matching fabrics is popular, but a contrast can work too. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to dressing the groomsmen.
