When you work with me from my studio in Surrey to create a bespoke wedding dress from start to finish, everything is based on making sure the dress tells your story. My part is interpretation, and skilled labour. I do design of course but I don't think of myself as 'the designer'. That part is for both of us! I hope I always add a little something, an idea or touch of finesse to the design we create together, but it is always yours, not mine. Some brides have a very firm idea of what they want right form the start. While others are much more vague and more questions are needed to crystallise the ideal dress (or trouser suit!). I love working both ways, or anything in between. Variety is one of the things I love about my job, making wedding dresses in Surrey.

Having a bespoke wedding dress made in Surrey is ideal for brides in the South East or London. I have more than 18 years experience making bespoke wedding dresses of all styles. There are several points to consider when you weigh up options. You might be choosing between more than one potential designer or dressmaker. Or also comparing those options to off-the-rack designs from bridal shops. Your budget, the distance to travel for fittings and your personal relationship with the people involved, should all be considered. Be that the designer/maker, like me, or the staff in a boutique.
Many bespoke wedding dressmakers have a particular style, like the designer gowns sold through bridal shops. Each designer has a vibe and when you buy from them you are buying into their style. You become a 'Jenny Packham bride' or a 'Pronovias Bride'. While I absolutely value each of my clients, and indeed have become personal friends with more than a few over the years, I do not think of making you a dress as 'collecting you' into 'my dresses'. Rather the opposite. As you might gather from looking through the variety of dresses I have made below I am not selling 'my style'. I am creating something unique in your style.
My lovely bride Janet perfectly describes how I hope all my bespoke wedding clients experience their design journey with me. Janet's green beaded wedding dress
"Felicity and I designed my dress together (it was definitely a collaborative) approach and I could not have loved the process any more! I did try on some more traditional white and ivory wedding dresses but I didn’t feel like myself at all them – nothing felt quite right! When Felicity and I first started speaking I felt quite strongly that I wanted something in a deep emerald green, possibly with some beading and that I could dance in – Felicity came up with all the rest."
