The dress needed to have a vintage, showgirl feel and be really sexy but still realistic as a bridal dress, not many people actually get married in a leotard and feathers! The wiggle skirt with a boned bodice hit all these marks showing off our lovely model, Vanessa?s curves and cinching her waist. I added a teal net petticoat that would show when the high/low hem moved and delicate gold lace detail with Swarovski crystals for showgirl glamour!

Creating colourful, showstopping bespoke wedding dresses is my absolute favourite thing to do (thank goodness I`ve made a business out of it)!
Bride Jennifer already had her wedding dress picked out, but wanted to elevate it to a whole new level. She went for the phoenix colourway - starting with bright yellow, going through orange, red, pink and purple, until the very end with a final hint of deep, royal blue. It is such a winning combination.

This is the 2nd look I made for a recent cultural fusion styled wedding shoot.â

It`s a variation of my highly popular Evie bridal separates. For this iteration, I made ivory silk trousers and a burgundy top with the traditional Indian latkan ties at the back.â
â
I`ve made my Evie separates quite a few times now: with or without sleeves (sometimes removable, sometimes not), with a skirt, without a skirt etc etc. I think there`s something about the simple, clean lines that really speaks to brides looking for something chic, modern and a little different. Especially this version, with that gorgeous crimson top and embroidered belt to match.â
