Rebecca wanted a whimsical bridal look fit for an elven princess. I designed a pastel rainbow ombre wedding dress in lace and organza.

The inspiration for this blue wedding dress with sleeves was a little unusual. Some brides give me mood boards, and some brides give me the lyrics to the extended (8 minute!) version of Torch by Soft Cell. The song, and especially these particular lyrics, have a lot of significance to the bride, Nicky, and her...

For this bride, I created a Chinese fusion wedding dress with red dip dye. The result was a bold and beautiful bridal look, with lots of eye-catching details. There are two ways I can dip dye dresses. One involves spraying the fabric whilst gently overlapping and blending the colours, I do this as the final...

For this bespoke wedding dress in Guildford, I used a beautiful beaded antique-silver lace for the body of the dress, with the lower skirt being made in a silk chiffon and a silk lining. It’s the perfect combination of elegant and sexy. Depending on how much skin you want to show, you could choose to...

For this bespoke wedding dress photoshoot in Hampshire, we wanted to evoke the feeling of a fairy tale. Of a princess being whisked away by her prince, of magic, whimsy and romance. The colours we wanted to focus on were blush pink, various shades of green and deep burgundy. All inspired by the colours found...

My spouse and I booked a non-binary wedding couple photoshoot for our 14th wedding anniversary celebration. We were married in 2007 we had many happy years together as husband and wife. But in 2021 my spouse realised they were non-binary/trans. The person I had married as a man discovered their female inner self during Covid...

This was the first styled shoot I ever organised – but certainly not the last. I live on the border between Sussex and Surrey and as a wedding dress designer, it only made sense that I gathered together some local wedding suppliers, chose a stunning location, made some dresses and had some fun! Hence this...

Neli and Neiko asked me for a dress for their rustic, Italian styled photoshoot. This silver wedding dress was designed with country weddings in mind. I used boho, elegant styling with a modern vintage vibe in mind when I designed in the dress. Silver Wedding Dress Design I made the dress from delicate antique silver,...

Richelle wanted a theatrical dress with interchangeable separates for her two part wedding in Scotland. I designed her a pink and silver waterfall skirt wedding dress in organza, silk and lace. Richelle found me by recommendation from a previous bride, the nicest way to know you’ve done a good job! Official photography by linaandtom A...

I made in Liz’s dress flamenco inspired wedding dress in teal blue shot silk. It has a boned bodice with ruching to the hip and a wide off the shoulder neckline. The skirt falls in graduated tiers of waterfall frills. Hand applique of teal lace adds sparkle and texture to the neckline and skirt. Liz...

A little look into my creative process for making my Swan Lake-inspired wedding dress.
I think feathers are a really underrated embellishment, so I wanted to give them their flowers 🪶💐 this corset style bodice features hundreds of hand-sewn white feathers, all meeting to a point in the middle of the chest, finished off with sparkling sequin lace.
Do you think the result was worth the effort?

It`s coming up to five years since I first discovered aerial hoop, and my love for it is still going strong 💜
And now, I`m moving onto something even more exciting...
The next step in my journey is starting teacher training with @mybodyrocksstudio, so I can share my passion for hoop and pass on this amazing sport/art form. It`s not something I would have ever considered a possibility when I was first starting, but I`m so excited to get going!
Maybe one day I`ll be showing you the ropes (well, the hoop) 🤭
And thank you to @impulsivemomentspole for making me look like an absolute superstar 😍
Look at all that gorgeous colour!
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Here are just a few ombre wedding dresses I`ve dyed over the years, both for photoshoots and real brides. I`ve just launched a new page on my website, dedicated to my dip dye creations.
The amazing thing about dip dying is how completely customisable it is. You can go with loads of bold, bright colours, or just one subtle hue. It`s entirely up to you.
And you`re guaranteed to match your wedding`s colour scheme.
I offer two dip dye services:
- Direct dying, straight onto your wedding dress
- Dipdye tulle overskirts, leaving your dress untouched
To see more examples and options, have a look on my website (link in bio).
Which colour combination is your favourite?

I am *obsessed* with this vintage wedding dress restyle!
Merissa brought her 1990s bridal two-piece ensemble to me, looking for it to be restyled into her dream wedding dress. And we ended up with some so cute, chic and coquettish.
The bodice, with its off-shoulder neckline, didn’t change much, style-wise. We just did a few alterations to make it fit better. The skirt, however, was a different story.
The original skirt was completely deconstructed, and those panels of fabric were used to make a shorter mini skirt, gathered in at the waist and with a pleat detail at the front. Then, with extra, matched fabric, we made a new skirt for the ceremony. In the same style as short skirt, but floor length, with a train and netting underneath, for that perfect 80s/90s silhouette.
Which version do you prefer – full length skirt or miniskirt?
If you want to see how Merissa looked on the day, check out my previous post!

This outfit is such a vibe ✨️ I loved working on this vintage 90s two-piece.
If you want to see the adorable miniskirt I made to go with this wedding outfit, I`ll be posting about that next. Why not follow along for regular dose of whimsical alternative bridal inspiration for 2026?

What should I do with my wedding dress once it`s served its purpose?
It`s a question a lot of brides ask themselves after their wedding day is done.
I`m a big fan of upcycling and repurposing, and I`ve had the chance to give second life to quite a few wedding dresses now. Including this conversion of a vintage wedding dress that had its first outing about 25 years ago.
With a big anniversary party coming up, this client wanted to be able to wear her dress, but transformed. Keeping it for the priceless sentimental value it holds, but also updating it to reflect who she is now.
So, with a few little changes, she had something completely new and very chic.
We took the bodice off completely and finished the waistline to make a lovely skirt, still with the details of the original dress. To make it more wearable for other events, we also brought the hem up and took train completely off.
I think she looks so stylish, and I hope she finds occasion to wear this little piece of her own history for years to come.
If your wedding dress has been left untouched for years (or decades even), and you would love to be able to honour it a new way, then get in touch and let me work my dressmaking alchemy.
